Who can apply

  • Normally community groups; social enterprises, businesses, charitable organisations or other public agencies may be funded if the aims are met, but not individuals
  • The project must benefit people living or working in the councillor's South Norfolk ward (activity may be within or beyond the ward boundary) and must show support in the community

What it funds

  • Aims include building community capacity, flexible funding of very small local initiatives, and enhancing social, economic or environmental wellbeing

  • Activities that could easily be funded elsewhere
  • Routine maintenance costs
  • An activity that has received member-led council funding in the past two years (new or additional elements may be eligible)
  • Replacing funding previously provided by statutory agencies such as the County Council
  • Projects or services a town, parish or county council should fund through its precept (e.g. village signs, parish notice boards, general maintenance)
