Many funders run the same grant every year, so check the funder’s site for a new round. The details below are what the funder published when it was open.

The JJ Charitable Trust (Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts)

JJ Charitable Trust Literacy Small Grants Scheme

Grants of £5,000 to £20,000, spread over one to three years, for UK charities and community organisations that directly help children and young people develop literacy skills. The focus is children with specific needs or learning difficulties such as dyslexia: at least 50% of the children supported must have learning difficulties or be disengaged from learning. The Trust prioritises foundational literacy work using volunteers and reading mentors, and creative approaches that build children's confidence. This is the only JJ Charitable Trust strand open to applications; its sustainability ('catalysing change') work is by invitation only.
