Real Change MCR (Manchester Homelessness Partnership; administered by Macc - Manchester Community Central)
Real Change MCR
Real Change MCR is a fund that pays for practical items people experiencing homelessness need to build lives away from the streets, such as a deposit or first month's rent, furniture, household items, training courses, interview clothes and travel. It is for people who are homeless and have slept rough in the City of Manchester. Individuals cannot apply themselves: a partner organisation that is a member of Manchester Homelessness Partnership bids on their behalf. Items under £100 need only a short form; for items over £100 a volunteer panel agrees the spending within 48 hours, and Macc pays on proof of purchase.
