Gedling Borough Council

Community grants (Members' Pots)

Gedling Borough Council's community grants come from each borough councillor's own budget ('Members' Pots'): every councillor has £1,000 a year to award to local community groups and activities in their ward, and the councillors decide whether grants are approved and how much is given. The minimum award is £200. In 2024/25 there were 217 awards averaging about £290. The scheme was nearly replaced by a bid-based fund, but on 31 March 2026 the council decided to keep it for 2026/27 with the new £200 minimum.
