Isleworth & Hounslow Charity Ltd

Isleworth & Hounslow Charity grants to organisations

Isleworth & Hounslow Charity Ltd makes one-off grants, rarely over £3,500, to charities and organisations that help people in poverty, need, hardship or distress living in the London Borough of Hounslow. Grants are for discrete items or activities rather than year-on-year funding, and organisation applications are considered at quarterly trustee meetings. The charity also gives grants of up to £350 to individuals in the borough, but only on referral by a recognised agency.

What it funds

  • Projects by charities and organisations that offer help to people in poverty, where the beneficiaries are people in need, hardship or distress living within the London Borough of Hounslow
  • Grants are awarded for 'relief in need' and 'relief of sickness'
  • The project should be or contain one or more discrete things and/or activities
  • If the charity funds part of a project's cost, payment may be held until the balance has been raised

What it will not fund

  • Year-on-year funding
  • Projects whose beneficiaries do not live in the London Borough of Hounslow
  • Organisations that have existed for less than two years

How to apply

  1. Read the Organisation Grant Guidelines
  2. Complete the online Organisation Grant Application form on the website, giving organisation details, aims and activities, financial year income and expenditure, previous grants from the charity in the last five years, project description, total cost, amount requested, cost breakdown, evidence of need and that beneficiaries live in the borough, and other funding sources
  3. Upload your most recent annual accounts with the form

Organisation applications are considered at quarterly meetings starting in June; meeting dates and cut-off dates are not published, so contact the office (info@iahcharity.org.uk, 020 8569 9200) to check timing.

If the grant covers only part of the project cost, funds may not be released until you confirm the balance has been raised.
