The Jack Brunton Charitable Trust grants
The Jack Brunton Charitable Trust (registered charity 518407), set up in 1986 by North Riding farmer Jack Brunton, gives grants to good causes benefiting the rural villages, towns and communities within the boundaries of the old North Riding of Yorkshire. Most grants go to established charities, but all good causes are considered, from village halls, churches, schools and sports clubs to hospital departments, mountain rescue teams and animal welfare groups. Applications are by letter plus a short form, and trustees decide quarterly (February, May, August and November).
