Warwickshire Crimebeat
Crimebeat Warwickshire Project Grant
Warwickshire Crimebeat, a charity supported by the High Sheriff of Warwickshire, funds community projects in Warwickshire designed and developed by or for young people aged 5 to 25, with the aim of making communities safer and helping young people make a stand against crime. Grants are normally £500 to £1,500, though larger grants are possible for projects the committee particularly likes. Projects need an adult (18+) project leader, and 10% of the grant is held back until the project is completed and evaluated.

What it funds
- New and existing community projects in Warwickshire that are designed and developed by or for young people aged 5 to 25 and that help the local community, in line with Crimebeat's aim of creating safer communities and empowering young people to take a stand against crime
The application asks for an itemised list of what the money will be spent on (examples given are photocopying, stationery, printing and transport); hire of equipment to support a project will be considered.
Normally £500 to £1,500; more may be available if the committee really likes the idea, in which case applicants explain why on an extra sheet.
Successful projects may be put forward by the High Sheriff for the National Crimebeat awards.
What it will not fund
- Food or drink items
- Salaries
- Permanent purchase of equipment such as digital cameras (equipment hire may be considered)
- Projects that do not involve young people aged 5 to 25
- Projects based outside Warwickshire
