Who can apply
Registered charities with an annual income between £100,000 and £1 million in the most recent accounting year, delivering projects engaging children and young people (up to age 25) in England, that contribute to all three of the Foundation's outcomes.
What it funds
Projects specifically designed for children and young people (up to 25) who face a particular barrier to participation in sport, movement or the performing arts because of who they are, where they live or their circumstances. Funding can strengthen or expand existing work or test new approaches. Projects must contribute to all three outcomes:
- Enhanced sense of belonging
- Increased participation in sport, movement or performing arts
- Reduced barriers to participation
Priorities (not prerequisites): targeted interventions for young people facing a specific barrier; delivery outside London, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester and Liverpool; community settings rather than mainstream education; organisations with a strong track record, collaborative approach and youth voice; potential to strengthen organisational capacity.
Full cost recovery: direct project costs plus a share of core costs; part-funding of larger projects is fine.
Grant period December 2026 to July 2028 (Year 1 Dec 2026-Jul 2027; Year 2 Aug 2027-Jul 2028).
