Wynn Foundation
Wynn Foundation Grants
Small grants, typically £500-£1,500 and at most £3,000, from the Wynn Foundation (founded by Telford businesspeople Jenny and Graham Wynn) for charities, community groups and individuals across Shropshire, including Telford and Wrekin. Projects must better the Shropshire community, with a focus on disabled people, the underprivileged, homelessness, unemployed people, older people and young people; typical grants buy equipment, kit, meals and transport or fund community projects. Applications are made on a short online form at any time and reviewed quarterly. Sports clubs are capped at £500 and six grants a year.

Who can apply
- Charities, community organisations, interest groups and individuals in Shropshire, including Telford and Wrekin
- Organisations must have charitable aims (commercial companies and companies limited by shares are excluded); the form groups organisations as disabled, career support, homelessness, community group, unemployed, elderly, young people, sporting group or other
- Individuals apply for their own needs (courses, equipment, professional development)
- No income limit, legal-structure requirement or minimum track record is stated; the form asks how long the organisation has served the community and about its track record 'if applicable'
- Past grantees are unlikely to succeed again within three years, and unsuccessful applicants wait 12 months
- Recent grantees include registered charities and at least one CIC
What it funds
- Projects that 'fulfill a genuine reason to somehow better fellow members of the Shropshire community', where cash funding, personal advice or specific equipment will enable a positive transformation
- The Foundation aims to support charities and community organisations addressing disability support (accessibility, technology provision), underprivileged people (coaching and guidance), homelessness, unemployed people (reskilling, confidence), older people (companionship, meals, transport) and young people (mentoring)
- Typical projects: community food initiatives, meals and transport for older people, kit and essentials for sports groups, technology, and transforming community groups; individuals can seek help with courses, equipment and professional development
- Grants are typically £500-£1,500, maximum £3,000
- Personnel costs are considered only as part of a project
- Recent 2026 grants went to arts, disability, mental health, youth, hospice, health and sports groups across Shropshire and Telford
What it will not fund
- General appeals or letters requesting donations
- Organisations without charitable aims (e.g. commercial companies and companies limited by shares)
- Overtly political projects, including party-political and campaigning projects
- Animal-related charities
- Organisations that applied unsuccessfully in the previous 12 months, unless invited
- Revenue costs including salaries (personnel costs only as part of a project)
- Sports kit requests beyond six successful sports club grants a year, capped at £500 each
- Organisations funded in the previous three years (unlikely to succeed again)
- Projects outside Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin
