What it funds
Capital projects that meet the aims of Thetford's 10-Year Regeneration Plan and deliver on one or more of its six regeneration priorities (riverside regeneration, education and skills provision, accessibility, heritage and culture, the residential estates, the train station area) and associated community outcomes:
- Engaging young people
- Supporting vulnerable and isolated residents
- Improving neighbourhood appearance and local pride
- Increasing volunteering
- Celebrating Thetford's history, heritage and culture
- Promoting health and wellbeing
- Creating learning and skills opportunities
- Bringing communities together across different backgrounds
Funding can support small capital items such as furniture, storage and equipment, and building and refurbishment costs.
If the grant would contribute to a larger capital project, the application must show that permissions and other fundraising have been considered.
Applications that have secured match funding may be prioritised if the fund is oversubscribed.

- Reimbursement for activities already completed (NCF general rule)
- Development of land or buildings the applicant has no legal interest in (NCF general rule)
- Planning permission application costs (NCF general rule)
- Contributions to general appeals (NCF general rule)
- Activities solely supporting animal welfare, or solely religious or political activity (NCF general rule)
