Longleigh Foundation
Longleigh Individual Grants
Small, short-term grants for Stonewater housing association customers in a difficult time, where no statutory or local support is available. There are six grant types: resettlement essentials on arrival at a refuge or youth support scheme, critical incident replacement after a flood, fire or crime, household items, heating and eating, safe flooring, and education, training and employment costs. Maximums range from £350 to £2,500. A Stonewater staff member must apply on the customer's behalf.

Who can apply
- Individuals who are residents (customers) of Stonewater homes or housing schemes; the FAQs also name Mount Green customers
- Applications must be submitted by a Stonewater staff member on the customer's behalf; customers cannot apply directly
- All customers can apply for the Education, Training & Employment grant
- For the other grants, you or someone in your household must meet one pathway, with evidence: a disability or diagnosed condition; a mental health condition or substance addiction requiring treatment; moving from homelessness into independent living or a support scheme; fleeing domestic abuse; victim of a reported crime; social services involvement; a child receiving free school meals; or financial hardship where benefits do not cover housing costs
- Flooring grants are only for the disability (where it affects safe movement around the home) or social services pathways; on the social services pathway you must explain why Social Services will not fund it
- Longleigh accepts at most three flooring applications a month, so contact them first
- Grants are for when no statutory or local support is available; check Help for Households, Turn2us and similar first
What it funds
