Who can apply
- Two strands
- Venues: an established venue within the city of Oxford with the capacity to offer free or significantly subsidised space to musicians and promoters for rehearsals and performances; two venues will receive £5,000 each
- Musicians and promoters: a company, group or individual from any musical genre; around 10 grants averaging £1,000 are expected, though amounts may vary with need
- The fund's aim is more musical activity in Oxford
- Venue bids are scored on location and accessibility in the city, how many free or subsidised slots are offered and how much musicians will save, room or stage size, audience reach and additional support
- Musician and promoter bids are scored on the quality of the proposal, the impact on the applicant's own professional development, understanding of the audience and how the work will be marketed, and diversity of genres and people, including those at different career stages and those creating new work
What it funds
