It is for one-off projects or start-ups in North East Derbyshire district, not ongoing funding. What it funds
- Locally developed programmes or projects which improve the mental health and emotional health and wellbeing of local children and young people through providing access to pro-social activities and sessions (for example physical activity, volunteering, creativity or other activities which enable children and young people)
- Promoting positive mental health-related behaviours and addressing the wider determinants of health
- Supporting North East Derbyshire children and young people who could benefit most or who face barriers to access
- Supporting the development and expansion of workers and volunteers who are mental health aware and act as trusted adults
- One-off projects or start-ups
activities should not duplicate others but be delivered where provision is limited, enabling access for children and young people who face barriers (e.g. cost, getting there, condition-specific) or extending coverage of successful delivery. Match funding (including in-kind) is encouraged but not required.
What it will not fund
- Core running costs (e.g. staff costs, member subscriptions, room hire, insurance, building maintenance, group outings)
- Equipment which has already been purchased
- Direct grants to individuals (e.g. training/coaching qualifications, gifts, prizes)
- Activities of a political or exclusively religious nature
- Projects which duplicate or replace statutory activity
- School activities run by a school (a school used as a venue for activity outside the school day is the exception)
- Ongoing funding
