Ramsgate Neighbourhood Board (administered by Ramsgate Town Council; Thanet District Council accountable body)
Ramsgate Pride in Place Programme: Community Action Grant
Revenue grants for projects that deliver visible, practical benefits for Ramsgate residents and contribute to at least one of the town's five Pride in Place priorities (Open It Up, Clean It Up, Light It Up, Raise It Up, Join It Up), while helping build a year-round economy. There are two streams: up to £10,000 (Building Stronger Communities) and £10,000 to £15,000 (Creating Thriving Places), with no minimum. Charities, community groups, CICs, small businesses, sole traders and freelancers can apply. The deadline is midnight on Sunday 15 November 2026.
- You could get
- Up to £15,000

- 28 days left
- 15 November
- Effort
- Heavy
- budgets, references, often several stages
Who can apply
- Voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, registered charities, constituted groups, community interest companies, micro and small businesses, sole traders and freelancers
- The applicant must have an appropriate legal or governance basis, a bank account in its legal name (name and address must exactly match the application), and be able to pass Thanet District Council's due diligence checks for public funds
- Ramsgate-based groups are strongly encouraged; organisations outside the town can apply if they have a proven local track record and the proposal primarily benefits Ramsgate residents, with local presence and Ramsgate experience weighted in the assessment
- New groups may be asked for alternative financial evidence and may find it easier to apply with an established lead partner
- Sole traders need evidence of self-employed status (such as an HMRC UTR) and financial records
- Organisations represented on the Ramsgate Neighbourhood Board can apply but must declare it
- More than one application is allowed for genuinely separate projects, but the panel is unlikely to fund more than one per organisation
- The £10,000-£15,000 stream expects more ambitious projects with a plan to sustain the work after the grant, and encourages match funding
What it funds
Projects that benefit Ramsgate residents, contribute to at least one of the five Pride in Place priorities and move Ramsgate towards a year-round economy:
- Open It Up: bring back our town centre and jobs, strengthen local enterprise, increase activity and improve connections between places
- Clean It Up: create cleaner, greener, more accessible streets and spaces and restore civic pride
- Light It Up: help make streets and public spaces safer, brighter, better connected and more inclusive
- Raise It Up: invest in young people, positive activity, skills, aspiration and future opportunities
- Join It Up: improve health, wellbeing, connection and access to trusted community support
projects may be new, expand existing work, or sustain an effective existing activity. Eligible costs include staff time, freelance and professional fees, project management, venue hire, participant costs, marketing, travel, insurance, materials and equipment (items under £15,000), where directly related to delivery. A proportion of salary, overhead or administration may be included where clearly attributable to the project. Projects must finish by 31 March 2028.
