Who can apply

  • Charities and charitable organisations registered in the United Kingdom; the Trust receives applications only from registered charities, not individuals
  • It prefers smaller charities where its funding can make an impact, rather than charities holding substantial reserves, and will not normally support charities with annual income over £1m unless it has supported them before
  • Priority goes to charities working in the county of Hampshire: it will not normally consider projects outside Hampshire from organisations it has not supported in the past, and children and young people's charities outside Hampshire are considered only in exceptional circumstances
  • Charities with religious or political objectives, Scouts, Girl Guides and similar groups, animal charities and large medical research charities are excluded
