The Moray Council
Common Good Fund Grants (Moray)
Grants from the Common Good Funds of eight former royal burghs in Moray - Buckie, Cullen, Dufftown, Elgin, Findochty, Forres, Keith and Portknockie - for purposes that benefit the burgh's community, such as donations to local philanthropic institutions, street decorations and memorials. Councillors decide each application on its merits, using 'reasonable judgement' for the benefit of the community. One application form covers all eight funds; groups say which fund they are applying to. Lossiemouth's fund has no income to give.
