Who can apply
- Registered charities, schools, places of learning, not-for-profit organisations including those supported by public funding, and community and voluntary groups
- The project must fall within the area of benefit of one of enfinium's sites — Ferrybridge, Kemsley, Parc Adfer, Skelton Grange or Kelvin — and the Kemsley fund publishes its area of benefit in a separate guidance document
- The application form asks whether the organisation is a registered charity or registered company, whether it is profit-making or not for profit, what its governance document is, and for two named contacts
What it funds
Initiatives addressing:
- The environment, for example the promotion of clean energy, waste reduction or recycling improvement
- Education
- Improved standards of health, safety and wellbeing
- Social inclusion and community wellbeing
- Young people
- Enhancement of the wider community, including skills and educational development, environmental improvements and activities improving community cohesion
Applications are asked how the enfinium brand would be used, and successful applicants agree to give regular feedback with images and to take part in positive publicity.
What it will not fund
- Politically affiliated organisations
- Organisations that discriminate on the protected characteristics of the Equality Act 2010
- Organisations considered not to be aligned with enfinium's mission, vision or values
- Regional criteria specific to the areas in which enfinium operates also apply, so a project outside a site's area of benefit is not eligible
