The Gannochy Trust
The Gannochy Trust grants (Perth and Kinross)
The Gannochy Trust gives project, core and capital grants to Scottish registered charities for work in Perth and Kinross that improves quality of life, improves the built and natural environment for community use, or develops and inspires children and young people aged 0-21. Small grants are £1,000 to £10,000 a year, main grants £10,001 to £30,000 a year and major grants over £30,000 a year, each for up to three years. What it funds
Work in Perth and Kinross delivering at least one outcome under one of three aims:
- To improve the quality of life: positive change in people's lives and communities; increased inclusion, enablement, independence, mental health and wellbeing; increased access to employment, volunteering, learning, culture, sport and leisure opportunities; increased equality of opportunity and active citizenship
- To improve the availability or quality of the built and natural environment for wide community use: greater access to services and facilities; improved infrastructure; more sustainable services and facilities that reflect local priorities
- To develop and inspire children and young people (from age 0 to 21 inclusive): increased participation, opportunities and experiences through culture, leisure, play, environment and heritage; increased access to sporting opportunities at all levels of participation and ability; increased leadership or mentoring; accredited non-formal learning through voluntary activity in the community
grants can be project funding, core funding (for charities funded by the Trust in the last three years) or capital funding (a two-stage process). The Trust will not usually fund more than 50% of project or core costs.
