Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council

Resettlement Grant (Barnsley)

Barnsley Council's Resettlement Grant, funded by the Crisis and Resilience Fund, helps low-income households who have just signed a new tenancy in the Barnsley borough to furnish it with essential items. No cash is paid: the council orders and delivers a small number of essential items such as a fridge freezer, beds and mattresses, a cooker or microwave and a washing machine. It is for people moving on from crisis, such as fleeing domestic abuse, homelessness, leaving care or leaving prison. Applications can only be made by a 'trusted partner' organisation on the person's behalf.
