Chelmsford City Council

Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Grant

Capital grants, open all year, from Chelmsford City Council's Community Funding Scheme for community infrastructure projects in Chelmsford's nine unparished urban wards. Funded from the Community Infrastructure Levy on new development, it pays for providing, improving, replacing, operating or maintaining community infrastructure that addresses the demands development places on those wards. There is no maximum grant and no match funding is required, though it is encouraged; requests over £10,000 go to Cabinet twice a year.
