Community Foundation for Lancashire

RWE Hameldon Hill Wind Farm Community Fund

A wind farm community benefit fund, set up after the extension of the Hameldon Hill wind farm, giving grants of £250 to £5,000 to voluntary and community groups working in the Hapton with Park ward of Burnley. It supports projects for children, young people and families, the environment, and education and learning, aiming to build local pride and community spirit. The annual budget is roughly £16,000, so competition for funds is limited to a very small area.
