The Blackwood Engineering Trust

The Blackwood Engineering Trust

A small corporate trust funded by Blackwood Engineering Ltd that usually gives £500-£2,000 to charitable organisations helping children and young people in need because of poverty, bereavement, sickness or disability. It only considers applications from places where Blackwood Engineering operates (its UK sites are in Blaenau Gwent, South Wales), or from Blackwood employees. Priority goes to projects largely run by voluntary organisations, projects with little statutory funding, and projects helping sick, disabled and orphaned children. Trustees meet a few times a year, and applications must arrive at least two weeks before a meeting.
