The Catherine Cookson Charitable Trust
Catherine Cookson Charitable Trust grants
The Catherine Cookson Charitable Trust, funded mainly by royalties from Dame Catherine Cookson's books, gives grants to charitable causes, with a present policy of supporting local charities in North East England (or causes Dame Catherine had an interest in) and a particular focus on young or disadvantaged people. It supports education and training, environment and conservation, arts and culture and general charitable purposes, and prefers capital projects. Grants are generally £100 to £100,000, occasionally more in exceptional circumstances. There are no deadlines; applications are made through a short online form.
