What it funds

Costs that help keep an existing community project or group going and increase its resilience and reach, for not-for-profit projects that bring communities together and encourage people to take part but face barriers to sustaining themselves due to rising costs of living. This could include:

  • Equipment purchase/hire
  • Venue hire
  • Subsidised membership
  • Promotional materials
  • Transport (the application form also mentions running costs)
  • Groups should:
  • Encourage residents to come together in positive and supportive ways
  • Inspire people to get active, participate and fulfil their potential
  • Promote health and wellbeing
  • Provide innovative activities responding to local needs

Costs must be researched accurately.

What it will not fund

  • Retrospective funding (activities that have already happened)
  • Activities that duplicate what is already provided or commissioned by the council, unless demand cannot be met
  • A project/need that has received a Keep it Going grant within the last 2 years (unless in exceptional circumstances)
  • A group that has received a Keep it Going grant in the same financial year (unless in exceptional circumstances)
  • Social excursions outside Norfolk
  • Paid staff costs
  • Any overseas activity
  • Activities restricted solely to a group's existing membership
  • Political or religious activities
  • Organisational or running costs not directly related to the specific project activities
