TeamGrassroots / Utilita Football Rebooted

Grassroots Fund

Discretionary, no-strings help for grassroots football clubs, leagues and the people who volunteer for them, run by TeamGrassroots with the Utilita Football Rebooted movement. Support is tailored to each application and can be cash, vouchers or goods rather than a fixed grant — examples given include materials to fix up a clubhouse, paying tradespeople, gifts to thank volunteers, recovering from crime or vandalism, and making a facility safe. Applications must come from an FA-accredited club or league, and decisions are aimed at within 60 days. Successful applicants may be asked to take part in social media and press promotion.

Who can apply

  • Applications must come from an FA-accredited club or league and be connected to individuals or projects involved in grassroots football
  • Any cash funding must be paid into a bank account registered to a club or league, not to an individual
  • Clubs and leagues may apply for multiple grants or gifts
  • All awards and funding are discretionary, the funder's decision is final and there is no right of appeal; the fund is limited and support cannot be guaranteed
  • By applying you agree to the funder's privacy notice and privacy policy, and successful applicants may be required to take part in social media and press promotional activity through teamgrassroots.co.uk, Utilita Football Rebooted and their communications partners

What it funds

Anything that improves football and the lives of the people who make grassroots football happen. The funder's own examples are:

  • Vouchers for materials to fix up the clubhouse
  • Money towards tradespeople making clubhouse improvements
  • Gifts to show appreciation to volunteers
  • Support to recover from crime or vandalism
  • Funding to make a facility safe
  • Help to improve the game and playing environment

Projects, emergencies and thank-yous are all explicitly welcomed.

How to apply

  1. Complete the application form embedded on the Grassroots Fund page itself — there is no separate portal or downloadable form
  2. Tell them who you are, which club you represent, why you need help and the difference you think it will make
  3. Tick the box confirming you have read and accept the privacy notice and privacy policy, and submit

if the funder agrees, they contact you to show how they can help — the form does not ask you to name an amount

Have ready

  • Note: no supporting documents are asked for
  • The form collects only your name, the name of your club, league or county, country, email, phone, address and postcode, and two free-text answers
