Charles S French Charitable Trust
Charles S French Charitable Trust Grants
A half-century-old trust giving grants to registered charities working in Essex and north east London, across a deliberately wide range of causes — medical, community and arts, education, sport and holidays, disability, disadvantage, hospices, health assistance and youth work. Most grants are between £1,000 and £5,000, with larger ones sometimes made for specific projects. Trustees meet four times a year and the trust keeps its own costs and overheads low so more goes out in grants: £527,615 was distributed in the year to 31 March 2026.
