Who can apply

  • Registered charities or voluntary organisations providing assistance to older people who live within the 32 wards of Manchester or the 20 wards of Salford, and based in that area
  • Organisations do not need to be registered charities; CICs and other non-charity social enterprises may be considered where their activities further the charity's object
  • Annual income must not exceed £100,000; trustees are particularly keen to help small voluntary organisations
  • The application form asks whether you have a constitution or governing document, DBS-checked volunteers, a Protection of Vulnerable Adults policy, a bank account with two or more signatories and a management committee
  • Unsuccessful applicants cannot reapply within 12 months; previous grantees must have submitted their end-of-grant report to qualify for a further grant

What it funds
